CALABUCH (1956)

Tired of his job building nuclear bombs and alarmed by the destructive reach of his discovery, an internationally renowned American scientist flees his country and takes refuge in the anonymity of a peaceful village on the Mediterranean coast.

EL CID (1961)

In the second half of the 11th century, Rodrigo Díaz de Vivar, 'el Cid Campeador', became famous thanks to his victorious campaigns against the Muslims (conquest of the Kingdom of Valencia). Unfairly accused of treason, Rodrigo kills the father of Jimena in a duel.

PARÍS TOMBUCTÚ (1999)

Michel de Assantes is a reputable French plastic surgeon who, disenchanted with life and suffering serious impotence problems, decides to commit suicide by throwing himself out the window of his office in Paris.

ANA KADOVA (1913)

The 35-millimetre, black-and-white, 82-minute film re-enacted the adventures of the mysterious Ana Kadova in an imaginary kingdom called Balcania, where noblemen, villains and spies intermingle. Count Kadova is stripped of power and sentenced to death.

LA ALEGRÍA DEL BATALLÓN (1924)

The action is set during the first Carlist war in the Maestrazgo (the Dictionary of Zarzuela indicates that the second took place between 1846-49, although this has to be a slip as it correctly calls it the Seven Year War: 1833-40).

LA VIDA ES MARAVILLOSA (1955)

Eugenio Jalón is a confident and jovial young man who has never left his village, Segorbe, and thinks that life is wonderful. But he soon discovers the flip-side after setting out on a journey to Barcelona to visit his sister, who works as an artist.

LOS CORSARIOS DEL CARIBE (1961)

Due to the treachery of a comrade, Alan Braves, captain of a pirate ship, is accused of a crime he didn't commit. He decides to set off for America, but on the way, he comes across a Spanish galleon that he saves from the attack of pirates.

The judge of a coastal village takes on the case of a murdered young girl whose body is found floating in the sea. The judge, a man of integrity with an enormous sense of duty, soon discovers that the woman did not drown, but died at a party.
